Hopefully someone else has a fairly new M3 / M4 and can confirm....

When I set up for LC, my revs sit at 3000(ish) and I can't adjust them.

The last set of videos I can find on YouPube show them starting at 4k and being adjustable via the cruise control adjustment jobby on the steering wheel.

Anyone else seeing this in the newer cars?

my m4 is a 2016 and you can adjust using the cruise control toggle as you mentioned. it also defaults to 4K rpm when you first engage LC.

not sure why yours would be any different. are you seeing the "launch control active" message in your instrument panel when you follow the steps to launch?

beware though, every time ive used LC i have simply achieved a massive 30ft long burnout and the arse goes all over the place. missed a total wipe out by inches the last attempt and havent bothered since. in this weather forget it. needs to be 25C outside, dry road and tyres well warmed up as well to have any hope of getting traction.

Thanks for the reply.
Yep, cruise control active and chequered flag appears, and it all works as it should, except the start RPM and the lack of ability to adjust the revs down to 2000, which is where I want it to start off on the road. Next time it's dry and the engine's warmed up, I'll video it and upload.

I've tried it 3 times, and the first 2 went well, 3rd was a bit wiggly as the road was a tad slimy.

So here's a link to my youtube upload. Definitely just sits at 3000rpm and can't be adjusted up or down with the rubber switch thing on the steering wheel for the cruise control.

LC is rubbish on M cars I don't why people bother, OK if you're on an empty runway in California with hot tyres but over here in the winter? You'd get off the line quicker pushing the damn thing.

that is very strange, as has been said its next to useless over here anyway but i appreciate your need to test it out.

i would put a call into BMW and ask them as that is not functioning correctly as far as im concerned. unless they have changed something and removed the ability to drop the launch rpm. out of interest if you toggle it upwards do the rpm's rise or is it fixed at 3K in both directions?
