Marketing email from BMW today advertising the M3 CS, but also plugging the new M5.

“The new BMW M5 is an evolution inside as well as out. Upholstered in Merino leather with M multifunctional seats, integrated headrests and gearshift paddles in striking red.”

I’m left wondering what the seats do in addition to being seats that makes them multifunctional?

Oh, and thank goodness the gearshift paddles are red or how will you know you’re driving a BMW developed by the Motorsports division...🙄

Red paddles look naff.

Multifunciton seats (I have them in the F10) are very comfortable and have a lot of adjustment including "bending" half way up the back which makes getting a good fit really easy.

I agree it's M for marketing.

Just picked up an F31 330d and because I also have an F10 M5 I was looking for a similar spec.

The M5 definitely upped my expectations for my minimum spec car, the G30 is just taking that idea even further.

Won't be buying one though, they're just too damn big in the congested SE roads.
