Reviewing some previous posts and looks like I missed out on a great deal at Park Lane - no depo and £450 a month. Anything similar about?

I've just signed the paperwork today on reasonably well specced car (heated seats, sun protection, HK sound, reverse camera, extended bluetooth, DCT, Folding mirrors) at £4500 in and £419 per month over 48 months based on 8,000 miles per year.

Very pleased with that deal.

Can't say I remember seeing an M2 deal as good as that; are you sure the £450 wasn't plus VAT?!!

That was indeed a good deal, especially as the showroom cars in question will probably have had at least a few options fitted. However, what's showing under M2 offers on their website now is nowhere near as good and to be honest I haven't seen anything at that sort of money from other dealers either. Actually, a half decent spec M240i from TRL will come out at over £400/month so I'm guessing these M2's for £450/month didn't hang about for long?!

Phone round some dealers, they are willing to do some very good deals, not uite as strong as the Park Lane one, but if you register before end of March you should be able to match my deal.

I know Jonny at Kings Lynn Lister has a couple of cars to shift and will do a deal.

Thanks, your deal looks to be around £512/month including the deposit which I reckon is still pretty good for a new M2 with a few extras! Like I say, I've not seen anything close to the Park Lane offer anywhere else but perhaps they were pushing for sales to help reach a target by the end of March?

Park Lane BMW had 4 cars at £450pm no vat and no deposit (see anym.co.uk) and Specialist Cars had 6 or 7 cars from BMW which they did at £500pm plus £1500 deposit. 4 years, 8000 miles (1000 miles @ £10 per month). Well specd cars with DCT.

I bought a long beach blue one. Great car.

There are a few dealers doing at least £6.5k off list at the moment. There are deals to be had and made on M2. They need to shift cars before the new M2 is shown at the Beijieng Motor Show at the end of April. ????
Thanks for that but what do you mean new M2 ?

Cheers. It's DCT only so if it is the straight replacement it means that they have dropped the manual and that there is a finite amount of existing M2 manuals, not what I want to hear !

Just had an email from Specialist Cars Stevenage saying they have one M2 left at £0 deposit £550 pcm. I just bought the wife a late 2017 M4 CP Conv LCI in Silverstone II at £46,500. 3000 on the clock with great spec. Thought that was a good deal. Paid cash and did the deal just before the end of the mth. Think it was a CBS car.

I thought the M2 Competition was an additional model that's going to sit above the standard car in the range as opposed to being a direct replacement? Get the impression the Competition has a different engine from the normal M2 (detuned version of the M3/M4 motor rather than the N55?) together with a few other tweaks but yes, it's rumoured to be DCT only.

Will be interesting to see how BMW price it compared to not only the standard M2 but also the M4 and M4 CP. I guess some will argue it's aiming at a slightly different market but if it's priced at mid-50's I'd have thought at least a few potential buyers could have their heads turned by a discounted M4 for very similar money?

I would have thought that more logical but I understand they have had to can the N55 owing to emissions.

M2 competition will be a replacement for the current M2 which will be ceasing production around July this year. I believe there will be a 6 speed manual option as the US test cars have been fitted with both DCT and manuals.

Interesting, I wonder how widely known that is? I certainly don't pretend to know everything about BMW's (far from it!) but I'd say I'm probably better informed than the average punter and genuinely wasn't aware the current M2 was about to get the chop!

However, if that's the case it perhaps suggests the M2 Competition will be priced quite close to the out-going car? Perhaps also explains why there have been some much better deals of late on the M2.....

I wasn't really aware until before Christmas. Was going to put an order in to replace my lease car which goes back towards the end of this year. But it's all over the bimmerpost forums (and others) so I have held off on that idea until the comp comes out to wait and see prices etc. Rumours are an 6-8k euro increase over the current M2 but they are just rumours however guys on bimmerpost seem to have crystal balls on these things laugh and are pretty accurate with their predictions.
