New m5 18 month lead?

I’m discussing a possible m5 build with my dealer and was surprised tonight to be told that it’s currently an 18 month lead - I don’t know why I’m surprised because it’s an important new model but I’d like to hear from anyone else who has any knowledge of the order status for the car. Also, I notice the build thingy doesn’t really have any of the more detailed options from exclusive or any ability to specify paint to sample.

I sat in a new M5 in my local BMW dealer on Saturday that had been spec'd by BMW but had pretty good spec and I could have bought it there and then if I wanted to.

Hello All

I have an estoril blue F10 M5 and I was at my local dealer on Friday looking at the new car

They have just got the new M5 in on demo fleet. They offered me the demo in 3 months to buy if I wanted or I would have to wait until next year as they are only getting 4 cars this year they also said only 600 cars are coming to UK this year.

I am in no hurry so I will pop back at the end of the year
