Im about to pull trigger on an Nardo Grey M4, Is there any obvious reasons why I wouldn't? Dealers seem very keen to off load them on 0% finance. My understanding is new one due out 2021, but that gives me a few years use. Anything else I should be wary of?

Evil handling, overblown, and bought by insecure asshats?

Or were you hoping for some vindication of your potential purchase? smile

They have many good features, and if they float your boat there’s no need to ask.

This.

Crank hub wear was an issue but that has been resolved I understand.

Get one. A truly fabulous car and probably a cheap way to own an M in terms of hassle/running costs combined.

I would be very surprised if the M4 was not replaced before 2021? The new 3 series G20 is due in October 2018, so unlikely that the 4 series and related M4 would only come out in 2021.

Just bought a late 2017 CP Conv in Silverstone II for the wife. She loves it. I drove it and was pleasantly surprised. Great car for what it is

No chance sadly. It'll be the dealer used car rate, with maybe a little bit of wiggle room.

A bit common, aren’t they?

I saw six on a 15 minute drive an hour ago.

And the residuals....could they be worse?

This really.....why not buy a 2 year old one approved, if you need to finance then bank loans are 2.6% now, and you'll maybe get a discount for cash.

I think you’ll be lucky to get both 0% AND a big discount.

Best offers I’ve seen have been low, but not 0%, APR and a decent contribution.

Coast2Coast are currently quoting 9% discount, which isn’t amazing in the scheme of things.

Pre-reg isn’t a bad shout, if you can find what you want. I’d have happily done that if I could have found the spec’ and colour I wanted but ended up buying new instead.

Finding prereg with what I want is driving me mad at the moment. What sort of lead times were you quoted for a new build?

I had various quotes, depending on whether they had speculative orders in which could still be spec’-changed. I think it was averaging around 18 weeks at the time.

Edit: I mean 18wks for a completely new order, rather than modifying an existing order to my own spec’.

I ended up finding a car which was built, and in transit to the dealer but not yet sold, in pretty much the spec’ I was after, so I got it in 2 weeks.

Just checked the same spec’ I’ve currently got and it’s saying 20 weeks now, but also shows my local dealer has 2 similar spec’ stock new cars available (wrong colour though).

Try building one in the configuration and go through to buy it online, it should show the lead time and also an6 stock cars the dealer has.
