Great to hear. Is it considerably better than an F10 M5 then?

It does feel "Nose Heavy" compared to the 540i Xdrive.
It is better than the F10 all round IMO, grip and go, no traction lights at any pace, pick-up is really good and the tech top notch.
It is more fuel efficient than my F10 M5 LCI and my M6 GC CP by some way, I was surprised by that.
You still have some tyre noise instruction on some bad road surfaces due to such wide tyres but it's not that bad.
An effortless Long distance blaster.
It felt it's weight on tight twisty roads though IMO.

Did you have a 540i to swap or were thinking of getting?

Your local dealer must absolutely love you smile

I think the F90 may be my next car in a few years, may just skip the F10 if I can. Sounds like a great car to own and drive.

I have the 540i M Sport with "M" Performance upgrades, it's quick but not M5 quick.

I’m drawn to M5s too, but I’m trying to convince myself this one is too big.....I’d be going from the sublime Cayman GTS to the biggest M5 yet....too big, too different?? I wonder!
One thing that caught my eye.....I saw a lovely blue one explode up a slip road from a standing start....really fast for sure, incredible traction there!

You’ve given us reasons why you changed from M5 to M6 GC to M3 to 540i. More recently being vocal about the fact that your M cars were too fast for the U.K. And now your going to buy a car that would leave all your previous M’s for dead in a straight line?

I reckons odds are about even that you’ll be changing the new M5 for an M8 inside 2 years biggrin

I know i said all that but................... I just can't get away from POWER............. I am trying but always seem to want it.
It may or may not happen, all depends on PRICE, but I did like it a lot.

Is the F90 same/similar size to the older 7 series?

I think the new 5 series looks sodding massive! Not seen the new M5 on the road but have looked at a couple that Park Lane have had in.....not sure about it to be honest. Apart from the wheels it's styling seems quite close to the regular 5 series Sport. I know that's part of the appeal for a lot of people though.

4 inches shorter. 2 inches longer than the F10
