Having found out the other day, after 18 months of ownership
that the armrest slides forward in my E61 lci touring I was wondering what the whatsit with the warning sign was for; a bit of Googling and looking at schematics shows it referred to as a 'blind plug', but what is it plugging? Have I missed out on some really cool piece of optional equipment? Any thoughts? The dirt will be vacuumed away this weekend BTW.

That's where the SMG red cog of death lives. If you open it up with a key and throw it away, you'll never get transmission problems
