Knowing a lot of you guys on here I though a small update on the M5 might make a read.
Covered 1760 miles now and TBH they have been the best miles in an "M" I've owned and I have had a lot.
The smoothness and power delivery are improving by the mile along with upgraded interior/Tech.

The Sports Exhaust note is just the right amount of noise and tone which is also changing becoming deeper with rumbles.
I have finally got the seat were I want it comfort wise (took a while) and after 200 miles yesterday I felt good even with a hip problem.
I had many "M" cars as you guys know, BUT the attention this colour promotes is mind bending, in the sun it does POP but people who know nothing about M cars are asking me loads about the car, they all love it.

I have my normal driving setting @: Sport+ engine/Sport suspension and sport steering, I find this a nice smooth fast pick-up set-up.
M2 is set traction off MDM and all Sport+, not really explored this setting much as still running in, I think it will be about 3K miles before it's proper run-in.will see in a few weeks.
Fit and finish inside is really good alacantra head lining and Piano black go well along with the Carbon controls, a nice contrast to the Smoked white full leather, it feels nice inside.
I am getting used to tight bends and this thing really grips and goes when you get to trust it, at first I was a bit skeptical but with miles comes confidence.
Lastly Carbon Ceramic Brakes are fantastic and not a spec of dust on my wheels after long drives , mega. no squealing, after following a mates advice on what to use on the wheels, so all good.

All in all I am very happy with it and just want to keep driving........driving

Bloody hell, that looks gorgeous cloud9

I'm so tempted to move into one at some point however the fact I always drive like a complete idiot when I behind the wheel of such a machine puts me off more so than the cost!

I got such a good deal on this I had to have it.
RRP £102K + on the road, pre0reg 200 miles on the clock, I paid £80K, after a lot of haggling and agreeing to buy there and then, a great deal IMO. wink

Sitting at my local dealer waiting for my car and this is in the showroom.

No price or details so I have no idea where it stands however I would say it looks great from the front and the sides, the interior is lovely but the rear is a bit.....well, disappointing for me.

Yes the four exhausts look great but it’s not got that instant appeal my F10 M5 had...

In fairness if you’re following it I suspect the rear won’t be in front of you for very long laugh

80K Wow, serious?

where are these going to be in a few months time?

I'm surprised with the reaction to the looks by some, I saw one at the dealer and thought the wheels had a nice bit of dish to them which set it off nicely. would like to see a competition in the metal soon

I worked it down from £86K for a quick cash sale.

That's a stonking deal you got there, particularly for a cash purchase, always been told cash customers are unlikely to be able to negotiate much as the dealer won't make as much on finance incentives etc. The value of these are dropping like a stone though, partly I think due to BMW releasing the Competition Pack model before many customers have had their orders fullfilled for "ordinary" M5s. A number of buyers have cancelled their orders and bought a CP model instead, I even know of one owner who brought his back to the dealer after only a few weeks and a few hundred miles to get them to sell it for him and ordered a replacement CP model, he lost £20k in a couple of weeks. I test drove one recently and whilst it was a great drive, it just didnt feel as exciting as my RS6. Good luck with it OPthumbup

Once the car is run-in it's much better improving with miles, I looked at what this particular car had on it (close to CP model) Sports Exhaust carbon interior Carbon Ceramic Brake Kit and the price and Had to have it, I had to buy the say week to get the price I wanted to pay.
Others came out of the woodwork when they saw me hacking the price down, so I put a deposit on it on my way down to view. wink
They are pre-reg now as most orders cancelled for the CP but TBH I can't see 25 BHP making any difference to my driving, I had the M6 GC CP and it felt no faster than my F10 M5.

I'm gonna bet 4 months, then swap for a 335d citing the M5 is too fast, then he's gonna order an M8 smile

Looks superb - really good to hear its living up to, or possibly exceeding expectations.
