So I’m looking at another M6 GC and welcome your views on this. Service history as follows

- May 2014 - 1200 miles ie the running in service
- May 2015 - 18000 miles
- March 2018 - 36000 miles

So an epic gap of nearly 3 years!! Triple checked and it was nowhere between 2015 and 2018 in terms of a service. 6 months before March 2018 I was able to determine it had only done 1000 miles.

What makes this even more weird is that the car originally had a service pack....so not like cost was a reason not to service. Seems like lazy owner to me.

Note I have called my BMW dealer who has said in their system it’s showing no ‘red’ marks for being severely late. Likewise approved BMW warranty is possible.

My gut instinct is telling me to walk away, especially if I ever have to sell it. The spec is amazing on it and what I want only thing tempting me.

Thoughts please welcome.

I’d walk away without a doubt. There will be others with no questions about their history.

Condition based servicing?

Looks like it was 16,000 miles from running in to first service and about the same to the second.

BMWs are not on annual service schedules.

Until you have a major problem/claim and they suddenly realise it was late and send you packing.

Move on

It's condition based or every 2 years.

Yep major claim is my worry.

CBS or not, a 3 year gap for this type of car is wrong. I’m walking away.
