Discussion
Hi folks. I’m picking up my M4 competition on Friday, been a long wait but will be well worth it!
I was wondering what grade fuel you guys are using, I’ve used V power in the past, on performance cars. I’d rather go with what owners are using tbh.
Thanks in advance

Momentum when I'm at home as it's close by, but will use V-Power if I'm elsewhere and it's close. They seem to behave the same in my M2 and I don't hold any brand loyalty (other than the Clubcard giving me a few quid off every few months).
I wouldn't be too gutted if I was forced to use 95 occasionally. The cars are designed to take it.

True, but I've never understood the people that buy expensive cars then skimp on fuel. I remember reading a guy's post of the porschevforum on here, just bought an 80 grand 911 then puts regular in it, I just don't get it.I wouldn't be too gutted if I was forced to use 95 occasionally. I run all my cars on Tesco 99, it helps that the station is 3 miles from my house, nearest Shell 20 miles! but still, run my M3 on Tesco 99 for 10 years, Ferrari for last 2 years, Porsches last 2 years, also tried Shell in them as well, and to be honest no difference at all, except Shell is £1.45PPL and Tesco is £1.34PPL.
Clubcard points also a bonus!

That's my point, it doesn't matter! The question was which grade of fuel.
Personally I use Tesco 99.
Filled up for the first time yesterday using Tesco 99, normally I just use ASDA unleaded. The car is a blown Golf.Personally I use Tesco 99.
There is a longish hill near my house, two miles long with plenty of corners, with asda petrol I need third gear all the way. With the Tesco 99 it pulled fourth gear without a problem.
I didnt think that the difference would be noticeable, I was wrong.
With my families M cars and JCW Mini , they only ever had V-Power used in them.
With my Z4M, I've been using Momentum and it's been fine. If I need fuel and I am away from Oxford, I will just use a shell station. When I use to own a heavily modded Impreza P1, I would find that if I used anything other than the above fuels, it would really run bad. BP Super Unleaded really didn't agree with it, so I've always avoided using BP fuels.
