I've only had the car three weeks and I've gone and scuffed the front nearside alloy!!! Not really badly but it's the black version. Gutted is an understatement. Anyone got any experience of getting these repaired well? I'm in Cheshire. Thinking of BMW bodyshop but not sure. Any advice very grateful received.

Personally I’d buy a new one.

Reconditioned will never be as good as OE.

Keep the old one as a spare for now. Clean it, wax it, cover up the damaged area with a load of wax, and come back to it if needed.

You could try the likes of Exel Wheels who offer a collection service and sometimes have loan wheels to put on to keep you mobile - the have a good reputation amongst the Porsche community, though do repair/refinish other brands according to their website. A new wheel isn't a cheap option and its likely given the lack of courtesy from other road users you'll be unlucky again at some point in the future and possible mark another.

Did the same a while ago.
Had all 4 wheels powder coated in gloss black.
Much prefer the look and easy to repair future scuffs with a gloss black BBQ spray paint can.

Exel wheels are apparently good, they use Lepsons but seemingly make Lepsons do an extra special good job.

I’ve tried sending £1,000 worth of returns their way but they never seemed interested in doing it.
