Just picked up my 2017 M6 and love it! Few observations / issues:

1. After any drive the fan seems to come on for 30 seconds or so. This is at low temperature and not driving it hard. Is this normal?
2. Tyre pressure warning comes on despite all pressures being ok. Resetting it works for a bit but comes on again.
3. Seems to pull a bit on certain roads into kerb, but unsure if it’s due to driving in wet or camber on road. Need to keep an eye on it, worst case will get it laser aligned.
4. Lane departure warning indicator light won’t come on and can’t get it to work. If I press the button it throws a warning on. Don’t need the feature but want it to work!

Apart from that it feels special! Just can’t get the power down in this weather!

Possible 2,3 and 4 are linked to a sensor or something? Does it have warranty, take it back to the dealers for a check.

There are multiple cooling systems on the M6 engine (charge air, turbo etc) and it's normal for them to run on for a few minutes after you park up:

No idea what is causing the other issues.

You will struggle to get the power down to some extent on a warm sunny day, but in the current weather winter tyres make a massive difference.

Probably the turbo cooling pump. Various things can run for quite some time after turning the car off. If you can, connect up a battery tender at every opportunity. The combination of the eco charging regime and stuff running after shutdown can case battery issues especially at this time of year and if your journeys are less than an hour or so. There were a number of issues in the USA with battery replacements (I read somewhere that they replaced them as a matter of course every service under warranty, which is fine until the warranty runs out!).

Check the reported pressures on the Tyre Pressure Monitor display, you may have a faulty sensor if the measured pressures are OK. If so the seller should sort it out.

The wide front tyres make it prone to that.

What's the warning? Sounds like something else the seller should get sorted.

Thanks folks. Bought from BMW main dealer so no worries about getting issues addressed.

I checked tyre pressures and pumped them all up to recommended PSI (was close anyway) and warning has gone, so hoping it was just sensitive.

Pulling to one side seems a bit hit and miss, so probably is tyres and the road. Will probably get it laser aligned at some point.

Lane departure warning system is definitely broken! If I press the Lane departure warning button it says “deactivated” and a warning comes on. It won’t let me put it back on, and warning only clears when engine is switched off. Not a huge issue, but annoying!

Do you know if it's had a replacement windscreen?

The KAFAS camera is attached to the windscreen behind the rear view mirror. It’s possible the wrong windscreen has been used or the camera has not be reconnected or coded correctly.

Do you have speed limit display? If so, does that pick up temporary speed limits? Do you have the full selective beam headlights? If so do they work correctly redirecting partial main beam away from oncoming traffic?

Ah I gotcha

Yep have speed limit display, it does pick up temporary speed limits

Also the adaptive lights works as they should

Pretty sure it’s the original screen, couple of small stone chips on it and has the BMW logo on it. Can’t be 100% sure though.

It’s only Lane departure warning which is playing up.
