I'm in two minds should I pay for the 36,000/3 year service inclusive and I've had a couple of quotes from local BMW M dealers and the figures make the decision a bit easier however I'm sure some on here are paying a lot less for their running in service.

Service costs I've been quoted:

Running in - two quotes both around £700.00
1st Service, 15k miles - around £500.00
30k service (includes plugs) - around £700.00

Now the service inclusive costs £999 and will cover all of that (excluding brake pads/disks/brake fluid, details below):

Oil Service
Renew oil and oil filter
Renew microfilter(s)
Renew air conditioning microfilter/activated charcoal container
Renew air filter(s)
Renew spark plugs (petrol models only)

I have the full-fat service inclusive on the X5 50d that's going back tomorrow and that was worth every penny but I was under the impression the latest inclusive packs were on the cusp of being worth paying for?

How much is it?

It was a grand for the F10 with 50k miles / 5 years I seem to recall and worth every penny. Would be a shame to see this change substantially.

Seems a no brainer to go for it, 999 for services that would cost 1900 otherwise?

On the face of it you’re correct yes

Used to be a much better deal at £999 for 5 years (stating the obvious here).

But if you’re going to do the miles to get a big service in within 3 years then it’s still worth it.

I bought the pack for my M4 and regret it - there’s no way it’s going to need a major service within the 3 years as I’ve only clocked up 7k miles in 2 years.

My supplying dealership quoted £450.55 for the RIS.

A slightly nearer franchise quoted £600 and would not price-match.

£700 for the RIS is a piss-take, frankly.

If you can renegotiate (or shop around and obtain lowest price-match) I think the service pack can be beaten, especially over short ownership / limited mileage.

It is over £600 at Listers and Coopers, I have a reduced price of £500.00 at coopers for the RIS. Good will gesture they say rolleyes
