What would be the best configuration for spirited driving and to get the best noise from the exhaust?

I know it’s never going to sound great, but every little helps...

Also, is there a way to keep the exhaust valves open all the time?

Cheers

I think Sport + is open all the time. Certainly it’s louder than Sport. I use sport generally, Sport + when pressing on and comfort on motorway as drone too great otherwise (6MT). But why not play around and decide which you like best?

I’ve just had a loaner for 24 hrs and played around a bit - couldn’t really tell much difference between all the settings.
Certainly, on our old F80 M3 there was more of a difference between settings.

Slightly disappointed in lack of aural stimulation, but I notice Milltek do an exhaust for it now...

The noise in sport mode is 90% fake ASD noise, not exhaust. If you code off the ASD it suddenly goes away. It does open flaps at low speed but shuts them after that. It adds a few burbles too.

I actually like the fake noise, sport on the mway is a lovely NA in line 6 sound, not drone to me.

Sport + is open more of the time but not all the time, again with fake noise ramped up.

Agree, play around and see.

I don't use M buttons, just a gimmick IMO, you have to remember what you've set, easier to just select eco / sport etc manually as you like.

I now have a Miltek on mine smile
