Anyone got any pics of an M2 comp in SO with the original M2 alloys (437), Have seen all the other available colours of the Comp with them on but not

SO, Iam not completely sold on the Comp alloys if I'm honest, Thanks in advance.

Perhaps I’m in the minority, and the Comp wheels aren’t the best out there, but I think these wheels look quite old fashioned now.
Had them on our F80 M3 nearly 6 years ago...

I like the 437 better, simply from the cleaning/durability angle. However, not sure you can still spec them; asked today in a dealership and although still on the sales guys' configurator, computer said no when selected. Not on the public facing one at all... the Y spoke lattice just looks to me that it will be likely to lose its finish quickly. Maybe wrong

Cheers guys, thanks for pics Mellow.. The M2 aint the most photogenic car in the world to be brutally honest, In the flesh they look so much more aggressive, The comp wheels also look a lot nicer in the flesh, My local dealer has a black and LBB M2 comp in at the moment and they both look fantastic in the flesh but a bit 'average' in the pics, If I bite the bullet its either a black or orange with orange interior, If I'm breaking the bank everything has to be perfect for me.

I agree - it doesn’t photograph very well at all and in real life looks a lot more squat and hunkered down.

They need a slightly larger rear spoiler and need the cows udder exhaust removing.... smile

Both excellent choices. We couldn't decide either so got one of each (both with black/orange interior too);

Looking closer the reg's give me my answer to that question.. Any more pics of the 2 together (it may help make my decision ) biggrin

Initial thoughts seeing them together is SO without any doubt whatsoever, However different angles may tell a different story (are they Manual or DCT ) ?

Yes - blue 235i's were good but we needed to differentiate so got blue and orange 240's. Those worked well but we had issues with tyres and suspension geometry due to our rather atypical usage... didn't make sense to spend significant amounts on coilovers, etc. making the cars non-standard with ensuing warranty issues, so moving up another step made more sense.
Haven't done much with them yet, black did two tours last year and orange did just one, but they'll both be put to good use between now and September 2022. Will be interesting to see how they hold up. Spent £6k on tyres on the 240's last season... 12 sets!!
Both these two DCT. Fuel consumption on the manuals is significantly worse and with the tiny fuel tanks that's "sub optimal".

Anyway, i digress.

I hesitate to ask, but does that help?

The sunset does look rather good when the sun's out...

Cheers
It doesn’t look very HS in that pic - more alpine white.
That’s half the problem with the palette on these cars - I don’t think any of them photo well.
They all look great in the metal though.

Hey Ian. Checkout Apex wheels. Brilliant choice of aftermarket wheels for M2.

Love the Orange M2C.

At the moment (even though it’s a long way off) I’m pretty convinced that an M2 will replace my M140i.

I’d love to scratch the M car itch and the size of these appeals (the M3/4 is a big old beast).

I really love the SO, possibly because I’ve never had a car in such a bold colour but not so sure I’d still like it quite so much in 6 months time?

Seen my first Hockenheim in the flesh today looked a lot nicer than I expected.. looked really chunky and aggressive.. Just shows you can never trust

pictures 100% you really need to see the different colours in the flesh.

I did a double take at a HS at a dealer last week. Had written the option off in favour of SO (first) followed by LBB... HS is now my preferred on the strength of exactly what you describe.

The light plays a massive part in how the HS looks.
It goes from white, to pale grey, to pearl white depending on the sun laugh
