Should 2018 X5m have a spare wheel?
Discussion
Hi. Slightly random question, I took the X5M into the main dealer today to have it’s winter wheels put back on. They informed me that they no longer store summer / winter tyres for customers and hence I’d have to take the summer wheels home with me. Mildly annoying but no big deal. I picked the car up and they’ve managed to get all the summers in it (which is good going), got home unpacked and then looked under the boot floor to check they’d put the wheel nut key back in. Wheel nut key is there but no space saver spare or jack. Now I’m 99.9% convinced that the car had a spare and a jack, the dealer however says it was never there, was only ever an option on the X5M and probably wasn’t specced from new on the car. I really thought it had a spare in, I’m sure it would have registered with me if not but I’m now doubting my recollection, I’ve done some googling but can anyone help - did the 2018 X5M come as standard with a space saver spare in the boot? If it didn’t is there a way of checking the original spec of the car (I’m second owner so don’t have original order)? Thanks

The X5M and x6m didn’t come with space savers / jacks. You should have an inflation kit. I was told space savers were not compatible with the larger brakes plus the space savers would have been too different in terms of circumference from the 21” wheels the Ms were usually spec’d with and would have destroyed the 4wd system
