It will be 25-30 % worse than your F90 M5 consumption, in my experience (albeit not the LCI version)

on a run from Warwickshire to Cornwall i managed 29 mpg (light traffic) and had a tank range of 350 miles. that is the best I have ever gotten out of it. Also don't know about others but mine seems to eat tires only done around 6300 miles but already looking quite worn.

Mine (not LCI) has averaged 20mpg over 30000 miles - not hard miles at all and no urban. So consumption really bad. And tyres. Lots of them.

Ahh burst my bubble, was hoping it was more Conti's being bad tires and i would get more longevity out a set of Michelin PS4's, if that's not the case no way am i spending £290 per tire for 7000 odd miles.

I mean yeah fuel consumption is not an issue i knew that going into it, however i would of liked to of at least got 10-15k miles out a set, not 7k.

I got 3500 miles out of the front tyres of my Megane RS300 Trophy.

Apparently not unusual either.

The X3M is not much heavier than an F90 M5, yet the M5 is so much better on fuel (and therefore importantly has a decent range) and tyres, despite 100+ hp and 150 nm more.

At a guess I'd think it was the higher centre of gravity in the x3 and the need to keep it clung to the road that leads to increased tyre wear?

Then the M40i should eat tyres faster then by that logic, as the X3m is lower than the M40i

Had a pre LCI version and my average was 16.9 , now in a m4 cs and average is 21 mpg .
Personally I would go m5 over another X3m and have the benefit of a decent ride quality.

Pre LCI X3M and getting 20 average over 3000 miles. Now on pilot sport 4S which are much better and wearing well.

Massively underrated cars.

I have one - get about 300-350mls to a tank on average, rising to about 370-390mls on a long run.

I've done c.5000mls but tyre tread still good - I reckon I'll get to around 15-20k from the tyres (MPS4S).

The car is an absolute rocket and I'm really enjoying it. I love being able to just blitz it - such a fun bit of kit.
