BMW M2 comp servicing costs

Those prices seem steep. My 2017 X5M (not the same car I realize) is a lot less. I had the major oil service last year and that was less then £800 - for 8 spark plugs too!

You make it sound like a bargain

There must be atleat £650 Labour charge there, can't book more than an hour either, we'll it might book more but won't take anymore time.
If you play around with the BMW online service tool it looks like older M2C vehicles (2018, 2019) are quoted as follows:
Oil service and microfiltr £213
Oil service with microfilter, air filter and plugs £825
On newer cars (circa 2020) they are quoting:
Oil service and microfiltr £318
Oil service with microfilter, air filter and plugs £1176
AFAIK the cars are essentially the same (as opposed to the original M2).
Certainly a point of discussion with your dealer that may help you to get a discount.

Ha ha true, but my point was how expensive the 'baby M' was to service versus a V8 M with probably a few litres more oil and a couple more spark plugs!

Online BMW value servicing for cars over 3 years.
Good point and you're probably right which was why I put my MY as 2017 although it didn't mention any value pricing when I searched for prices but I suspect a brand new one would cost more to service.Uncle Meat said:

I don't think they call it value anymore but the pricing does go down after 3 years (I think).A minor for my OG M2 is £213 which is ridiculously cheap for BMW. It needs new diff oil at 6 years too but even that is only £50.
I just can't understand why the M2C servicing is more for a minor even after 3 years. Not to mention the massive delta on a major. I think 2 of the plugs are even more difficult to get to but still...

Thanks to everyone who replied. It’s now clear after getting a quote on a 68 plate car that’s there is quite a markup for having a car under 3 years old. I’ll ask BMW to match and older m2 comp. If my car was a keeper I’d take it to an Indy but as I may sell it next year I’ll keep the full service history running.
