M2 Comp 2021 -S55
Discussion
You are unfortunately limited with your ECU, as a 2021 car I understand you cannot DME unlock them yet? You might need to check with your selected tuner.
In any case if it was then a stage 1 with no hardware changes should see you past 500, if you remove OPF filters you should see around 540-550.You dont need to change the downpipes , standard ones will see you to circa 550bhp stage 1 anyway.
There is recommendation to address the known weak link of the S55 when upping the power which is the crank hub, you can get halfway fixes in form of capture bolts etc or full fixes which include replacing the whole crank hub for a one piece machined one.

1. It’s an early 21. I’m told it is pre the issue… and an Evolve Dealer said he could do it. Hopefully correct.
2. Downpipe was suggested for sound instead of Active Autowerks equal length or single pipe mod.🤔
3. Crank Hub - I’m told BM don’t class this as an issue so no warranty fix.
Upto 550hp I’m told ok without but as it isn’t too expensive I would probably get done with the selected mods.
PS - I am in Australia, so told we have a few less exhaust OPFs than Europe.

Aha, I think Jun 2020 onwards was the issue with DME so might be worth checking1. It’s an early 21. I’m told it is pre the issue… and an Evolve Dealer said he could do it. Hopefully correct.

Crank hub is a warranty fix if it fails in warranty, and it has failed on even standard cars, when you up the power/torque the risk is higher so at 550bhp its definitely something to consider anyway.
