Hello

Has anyone mapped out the cold start from an F10 M5 and if so how does it sound afterwards?

Thanks
Mike

It is bloody loud, so perhaps he wants to be considerate to his family or neighbours.

Exactly that. Personally I think its obnoxious and my least favourite part of the car. Also don't particularly crave that sort of attention when I'm out and about either.

I understand it can be turned off but can't find any videos of how it then sounds. Thanks

Surely it’ll just sound the same as when you start the thing when it’s up to temperature.

I’ve recently had the cold start deleted on my E92 M3 and that’s my experience.

It's only on for 10 seconds or so and therefore won't make much difference when you're out and about. The F90 doesn't do it, it sounds the same whether it's a warm or cold start. I guess that's what the F10 will sound like if you can manage to delete it, the same as it does when it's warm?.
