Hi everyone,
I have just had a quote for my F90 M5 from A plan insurance. KGM are the underwriters.
It is very competitive. Are they any good?
Cheers
Pat

Don’t know about KGM, but I have been using A-plan private client team (at High Wycombe I think) for over 15 years for car insurance and found them very good.

I have no connection to them except being a long term satisfied customer.

I have used A Plan in the past and was very satisfied with them.

KGM used to be a Lloyd's Syndicate in the 70s/80s and always struck me as one of the better ones when I was handling motor claims.

Very good. Used them a lot. Very good also dealing with daft and needlessly obtuse rules around no claims bonuses etc (mirroring and the like).

Would use again.

Thank you everyone, your feedback has been very useful.
I asked them to quote for my standard car and also for my car with a stage 1 remap.
Only £60 difference, for what could be nearly an extra 100bhp.
After your replies, they have got my business. Cheers Pat

Have used KGM (amongst others) with A-plan (modified TD car) insuring anything up to 3 cars at the same time and they have always been excellent.

I had to claim through KGM once & they were superb.

A-plan did even change me from one IC to another at renewal time as there cover was better/cheaper, can't sing their praises enough.

The ONLY thing they aren't too good at is a single Boggo car, they just can't get near the meerkats etc.

Been using A-Plan for years on my Z4M and they have been excellent, switched this year to KGM from Marker Study after hearing about how bad they are if you need to claim

Looks like I'll be switching to KGM via A plan at the end of the week for my E39 M5, 530i Sport, MK4 Golf, Audi S2 and Porsche 994 after being quoted a very good price.

Previously been on a fleet policy with PaceWard, but the A Plan quote is 20% cheaper than last year's premium for just 4 of the above vehicles which I wasn't expecting having seen other posts with complaints of massive renewal hikes this year.
