Z4M Ex-Demo Depreciation My Gain

I am a happy new owner of a Z4M Roadster 
I bought an ex- demo which has all the bells and whistles including Sat Nav. I did actually consider buying this very car about 7 months ago when it was still on order by the stealer but thought it was way too expensive for what it is. But a mere 6 months later and after about £12k depreciation it was a lot better "value". I bought it for £34k.
No doubt I will take a bit of a bludgeoning from depreciation but no where near (I hope) that it has already lost in 6 months. When I was looking around there are about 30 Z4M roadsters listed on BMW UK with varying levels of trim. The cheapest which only has bluetooth as an extra is listed at £32k and I bet you could get that for nearer £30k with a bit of haggling.
If you like the wind in your hair and fancy an M consider the Z4M Roadster you could get a nice bargain at the moment.

The depreciation isn't good but did anyone actually pay full list for this model? I bought mine back in September for a smidgeon under £38k having rebuffed the dealer's attempts at a £42k model causing me to believe that the original pricing was at fault, rather than hideous residuals.
As many a pundit has said the original list pricing was too high for this car. I think the dealers have realised this. But they are clawing back the depreciation on the roadster by keeping the pricing for the coupe high. From what I have seen I doubt you could get an M coupe for less than £40k. OK there is a limited supply and that will tend to keep prices up but still a roof doesn't really justify almost zero depreciation.

I know of a couple sold last quarter for much less than 40k. Pre reg cars for 37/38k.
