used M3, good buy?

I've bought a few AUC's from BMW dealers. To be honest I have always been happier paying more for the piece of mind, and I have nothing to fault nor been dissapointed so for me it's been worthwhile. I know you pay over the odds but at least you know what your getting, if you know what I mean. 
Just to even the balance.
i have bought 2 AUC M3s and both had not been properly checked and the used car sales were not too keen on putting things right when I spotted the faults. A quick call to BMW customer services and on my next visit to the dealer was a different story, they couldn't have been more helpful.
So, If you feel something is not right with the car when you get it home and the used car sales guy tries to fob you off, don't just take their word for it. Dig deeper.
Also, get them to give you a copy of the AUC check list and then you will have it in B+W.
I'm sure you will be fine and mine was an isloated incident (Even though it was twice in a row).

Your not alone. Make sure the running in service was done correctly and pick the thing to pieces in the first week or two to get all the niggles sorted. I had a new steering rack, DSC unit, drivers seat, interior door handles, drivers door lock, 2 alloys refinished (again!) and soft-top window seals replaced in the first couple of weeks.
This was an near-new AUC, after all this I found the running in service was about 800 miles late and BMW would not warrant the engine etc.
