It's beautiful (white with carbon roof), full of technology, just doing the 2.000 kms run in so i can't tell how quick it is but at 4.000 rpms its voice changes and gets metallic, urgent, deep...nearly a muscle car rumble. Idle is crap, but who cares? it's promising quick...and the new eisenmann exhaust is nearly homebounce

Congratulations. ENJOY.
Tell us more about some electonics stuff and tips.
I will get mine on Feb 14 (SS II with black leather)
Just counting the days
I hope it won't snow because it seems that the tyres are not perfect for snow biggrin and that the winter tyres does not give justice to the chassis

Great car, you'll really enjoy it. Mine went today, almost brought a tear to my eye. (Had just been cleaned, too!)

It does look good.

Have been told by my dealer this week that DSG/SMG production will not start till June.

Gorgeous Panic. My perfect colour combo although I still hanker after a white e46 CSL

Hmm. You missed a trick there mate - the new M3 is a stunning car. Re R8 - I was down for my dealers first customer car last year but cancelled after I drove one. Very competent, very nice but so so Audi and nothing to stir the soul, which isn't what I want from that kind of car.

Panic. Perfect colour, lovely car. I'm 3,500 miles in now and I can tell you the car grows on you. Shame then that it's about to go!

NO! Do as the book says. Open her up when the time is right!

I disagree, there is alot of evidence to suggest that working the car hard in the 1st 100miles or so helps dramatically with prodcuing a strong engine

If you want to retain the value of having a warranty I'd do it by the book! Although I believe there's something in what taffyr says I just wouldn't risk it purely as it might give BMW 'wriggle room' on any warranty claims.
