My friends got 4 balled tyres on hes m3 , its not the new one but the one b4 it .
hes struggeling to find tyres for it , dealer said £200 a tyre and theres only one type of tyre that will fit ! is this right ?
mentioned it to a guy in the gym who has a brand spanking m3 and with a sigh said he had to wait 6 WEEKS !!!! for a tyre, to replace a puncture he had .... NO WAY eek

There is more than one type/make of tyre that will fit the E46 M3 - most will tell you to stick to Michelin Pilot Sport 2s or one of the Conti Contact Sport (original, 2 or 3). The dealer may be referring to the original Contis which were designed for the M3.

To be honest, if your mate has the 19" alloys on his then £200 a corner isn't a bad price. Has he thought about looking in the PH classifieds or on E-Bay for the tyres? There seem to be a few sets of brand new tyres (still with stickers on etc.).

the guy from the gym with the new M3 waiting 6 weeks for a tyre from france aparently , is that possible ?

Be better off buying 2nd hand wheels and tyres. £500 should get a refurbed set with 6mm tread contis or michelins.
