Hi All
I will be changing my brake fluid soon and would like opinions/experiences of the use of Motul RBF 600 in M Cars.

Cheers-Graham.

I use it and it is fine on road and track.

Having said that, I'm considering trying the Halfords Racing DOT 4 just because it is easier to get.

Thanks for the reply, i think i'll try the Motul.I was considering Castrol SRF but it would probably be overkill considering the car will not be used on a track and of course there is the hefty price.

I have used Motul RBF600 for a long time in all my performance/track cars and never had a problem. It's a good performing fluid and around the half the price of SRF.

Motul RBF600 can be bought online, I use Opie Oils. Demon Thieves stock it as well. Obviously not as easy as popping to the shops though when you get low.
Check out the Wet and Dry boiling point specs of the Halfords fluid before commiting, their website doesn't quote any specs so check the back of the bottle. Obviously it is someone elses' fluid rebranded as Halfords so it could be good stuff but if it doesn't quote the wet and dry boiling points on the bottle I wouldn't buy it.
For a readily available reasonably priced fluid Halfords used to sell Castrol Response Super Dot 4 which also has good specs, not sure if they still sell it though.

Halfords would not normally be a place i would associate with products for performance cars but i do have one quite close so it does make sense to at least check out their own brand for the specs when in passing before committing to the motul.Cheers for the advice smile
