m3 soft top

can anyone tell me how quick the soft-top on a 98 m3 should be. as mine is real slow at the start of opening

They are very slow, 30 to 40 seconds

Mine appears to be quicker on the way up than on the way down, but I'm sure it's just an illusion. It takes approx 30 secs (the last 6 inches of stretch on the way up takes the longest and on the way down the first 6 inches takes the longest). Nothing to worry about.
