E46 M3 manual - worth less than SMG?

Hi all. I realise this has probably been discussed before....BUT, I'm looking at E46 M3's at the moment. I've seen one in my preferred colour/ options list etc., but it's a manual. Would I be better of waiting for an SMG - are they easier to sell on?

Some people like SMG others prefer manual. Older the car is the better resale it will have as manual as more probs with the SMG box.

If you want an SMG hold out for one, I think it makes each drive more of an "event"

When I was looking, SMG's were typically £1500 more, but now M3's are so cheap I'm not sure if that is still the case?
