I'm now ready to go for my purchase and believe it is a good time to buy, can you give me some pointers towards specialist or at least trustworthy dealers????

I was ripped off once before and will really don't want to make the same mistake again!!!!!

Quite simply stay away from most of the main dealers until you are ready to make an offer. Look at some private sales, get a feel for the car you want, maybe visit an independent or two, then open your wallet.

What are you looking to buy? AUC warranties are all well and good but a private sale will give you just as good a car and save you serious money.

When I pick mine up on Saturday I'll let you know if I recommend the dealer... good so far and SE based.

Specialist Cars (BMW main agents) in Stevenage Herts usually have some good cars in or will find the right car from BMW UK.

Couldn't speak more highly of Independent Motor Company in Aldermaston. Bought my SMG Cab from them and they were great. David Batty I think. I'd certainly go back to them.

One of very few satisfied customers it would seem.

Do you work for them? wink

I've always thought that for Munich Legends... however they do seem to be very picky about what they sell and you're certain of a "good 'un" by all accounts.

Personally I'd use them if I was after a classic rather than a more modern example, e.g, a nice cecotto e30 M3 or similar.

Ok - so now I've collected the M6 I can thoroughly recommend...

Cooper BMW Tunbridge Wells - Ian Biddle - he was very thorough, diligent and honest... even pointed out a couple of things that I didn't notice and really went out of his way to assist.

If you give them a bell then let him know I sent you :-)
