I suspect you may be questioning my sanity right now, but i was wondering if anyone has tried using snow chains on their M3? If so where did you buy them from?

In all likelyhood they will not be required but in some European countries you are required carry snow chains in sky resorts at this time of year.

Thanks in advance for your comments - I can imagine there will be a few!

These look far easier to fit and not as likely to clunk on your arches.

I used spikesspiders on my M3s on 19" wheels. I couldn't find any chains to fit.

I wouldn't fancy driving an E46 M3 in summer tyres with any type of snow!

Especially on those windy little mountain roads that lead to ski resorts biggrin

Fit some proper winter tyres and you won't need them.

Oh yes you will. No tyre without studs will get you up a long steep mountian pass covered in fresh snow in a powerful rwd car. I have muchexperience of this.
