I cannot resist these fine cars any longer.

I´m looking to buy an 03 or 04 model (willing to spend up to 15k): preferably less than 50,000ish miles, manual, coupe, 19" wheels. Any other options are a bonus, though Sat Nav and HK upgrade would be good.

Is it still advisable to get a car with a BMW warranty or even an aftermarket one? Or should I just concentrate on finding the right car and think of the warranty as a bonus?

Also, any recommended independent dealers out there?

Getting the right car for you is key, a warranty is a bonus but on an 03/04 plate would show how keen the owner was in maintaining their car by insisting on having a warranty on their new(ish) high performance car anyway...

BMW Warranty can be bought anyway for around £1200

You could check out G G Steel (Geoff Steel Racing) to see if they have anything in stock?

I was in the same boat as you last month. Same budget but ended up with a mint 02 model with 55k and AUC warranty. It was a bit more than I wanted to pay but the condition really is first class so worth it to me.

I hope you find one for that budget... when I was looking despite all the stories I found the number of suitable cars less than I would have hoped. I refused to budge on my requirements though (SMG + Nav + warranty)
