Thinking about changing the Elise for one of these because in all honesty the Elise doesnt get used no where near to its full potential & as its my daily drive, im now wanting something slightly less "hardcore" Is the z3 & good alternative or should i looking at something different?
Are the servicing costs high?

If you want a bit of poke and are happy to sacrifice the feel of the Elise for something a little more aloof then you could do a lot worse than the Z3M.

It is a hooligan hot rod of a car rather than a back road scalpel, but it sounds to me like you wont miss the back road ability anyway?

I say do it. The Z3M is a hugely underrated car and fantastic VFM as a result now.

Cheers for the advice asbo, im viewing the car tomorrow & will decide after i have seen it/driven it. I use my Elise as my daily drive but as said, i never use it to anywhere near its full potential & thats a waste in my honest opinion.

Depends if you have a good, cheap indi nearby. Ours is on par with the main dealer so 650 it is for an inspection 2, 150 for oil.

Have a look at a mk1 3.2l Boxster S also. Not as quick as the M coupe, but arguably a better handling car and is also mid engined a la elise. Cayman is a proper grown up elise, although more money.
