Perfect Day?

The sun was shining today, the car was clean and full of fuel so the wife and I just got in and drove along the south coast enjoying the views and weather.

I have the car running in "m" mode and made good use of the power and acceleration to skip past most of the traffic with ease.

Pulled into Axminster, had a lovely lunch at Hugh Fearnly Whatsisnames place. Back into the car and the same route back just for the hell of it.

Got home and the car sat there on the drive ticking its heat away.....

A perfect day, pretty close I think.

Weather has been good lately alright, time to take the M3 out of the shed and clean out the cod-webs i think

I went past River Cottage today, probably slower than you but I was pedalling hard. Did you see several Bentleys coming from Axminster?

How was the lunch? Thinking of going.

Didnt see the Bentleys but did see a line of Lotus (Loti?) around Blandford on the way back.

Lunch - really good, nice atmosphere, pretty relaxed and good service. Sunday lunch menu was not massive but big enough and the food was really well cooked. Things like scallops, crabcakes and soup for starters and pork, lamb and dover sole for mains.

Good wine list and lots of local produce, all in all a good way to while away a lunch time.
