Went up Santa Pod 1/4 mile on Sat and got 13.91 seconds in my standard 98' M3 evo coupe.

Just wondered what times other people on here have got?

I was at The Pod about 3 years ago with my standard Evo saloon. I got a 13.92 @ 101mph. Great fun, can't wait to get my Griff up there.

12.76 1/4 in a standard M3 evo ! surely it can't just have a re map, i take it it must be completely stripped to the bone or have a different diff ratio ?

Do you know what 60ft times you got ? I took my old M3 to the Pod a few yrs back (standard 3.0) it was 13.997 @101, i had a 3 dr Cossie at the same time & that was 13.4 @ 108 . I now have an M3 evo i might venture up the Pod soon ( i prefer trackdays but go to the Pod every few yrs) as want to see if i can get anywhere near 13.4. Do you think i would be better running my road tyres or my track wheels with R888 trouble is they need heat in them though to grip well, does it make much difference letting the pressure down ? Seems to me getting a good 1/4 is all about getting off the line/60ft times. If i could get a 12.9 with just removing a few bits from the interior i would be well pleased !

60ft was 1.89
once the 60 ft come down i was laughing
think the lower profile tyres help feels slugish on standard rubber
the main reason for the lower pressure is they are pretty skiny and low
grip though first and second is loose, shakes real hard in first some times pop out of gear its so violent spins though second some times need a touch of steer then cherps 3rd
whats your evo had done?
been looking at those r888 a customer has them on his cerbera road testing it tom hopefully
what you think of them?
