Z3M Roadster- any good?
Discussion
Gentlemen,
Never owned or been in a BM before, like the look of the Z3M Roadster. Coming from a Mazda MX5, which is light, easy and fun to drive.
Looking to spend up to ten grand.
A few polite questions if I may:
Is it rattly on bumpy roads.
Does the hood leak.
Is it a hard ride.
Is the clutch light.
Traction Control?
High mileage a problem?
Many thanks for any replies.

Hi
They are not the easiest to drive in my experience - However this is a good thing as you enjoy it!
Hoods have never leaked in the two I have owned
The early ones S50 up to 2001 dont have traction - to be honest in the dry you wont need it unless being stupid, in the wet you could easily be facing the wrong way so be careful.
They are very quick cars - alot of fun.
reliability is not an issue if they have a full service history and vanos is in good working order.
I owned one with near on 100k on the clock no issues, great car now got one with 60k and two years newer and to be honest it drives no different to the older one.
Look for a clean example as there a plenty around.
I paid 6995 for a 2000 with 60k on it , full BMW history etc and its a great car that I dont think I will loose money on.
You should not need to spend more than 8000 of your 10k limit.
