Thinking of buying another M5. Although I had one before I'll still probably buy the wrong one on my own!

Who would be expert and reasonable for an inspection?

Thanks for any help you can give

Jump onto www.m5board.com (e39 section) and find a local owner to yourself for additional guidance. Where is the car you are looking to buy?

Hi

Thanks for replying. Looking to buy in about 6-8 weeks so just trying to do some proper research for a change. Too early to identify a car.

I'll be after a high mileage car; colour and toys immaterial but mechanical condition key. I'll travel to see cars so I'll have to find a local inspector/enthusiast near where they are for sale. Registered with M5board; thanks for the tip

If you venture south, ie Essex, Herts, Bucks, Beds, Surrey, Kent or Sussex there are loads of specialists who will charge about £200-250 for a really good pre purchase report.

Further into the Midlands, North East / West etc I am notable to be as helpful regarding who to contact.

Could be worth buying a copy of BMW Car magazine because they have a list of UK specialists / garages / mechanics etc in the back each month.
