Interlagos Blue. Is there 2 types?

Hi everyone,


The weather seems to be getting better and better! Hope it stays like this!
Looking forward to picking up my M3 CS, been driving around in an old shogun for some time now!

Anyway, does any 1 know if there's 2 types of BMW Interlagos blue, the second type being Interlagos Blue metallic?
I know Interlagos Blue exterior paint is available as an exclusive color option on the CS.

Have been looking on the net, and seen a few photos of the Interlagos blue, some of the pics look almost purple, and others look like a solid blue...

Just one Interlagos Blue to the best of my knowledge. And very nice it is too. My CS was IB. If I had kept it, I would have had the orange peel properly polished out (in so far as its possible to do so). I think it's the orange peel effect that perhaps give the metallic appearance.

Btw... are you getting the one from Park Lane?

Just looked on Park Lane BMW, looks like it's sold as I couldn't see it.

Found mine at a Jag dealer.

Maybe its just me but the BMW colours really seem to look different in pictures.

Interlargos Blue is metallic, but it a very light sensitive colour, it only really looks metallic in strong sunlight.

My interlagos blue is definitely lighter when the sun is shining so can maybe give the impression of two different colours depending what the weather is like!
