Indie recommendation in the NW

Hi there Matt, this is Tony with the Ruby Black Z4MC.

I've not had a lot of luck with local independents over the years (mainly with my e34 M5s), and have now found someone I trust down south (http://darjac-racing.co.uk). Unfortunately he's 240 miles away, so not much good for you.

In the past I've take the car to BayMoW in Stockport, but their ///M specialist retired a couple of years ago and I've not been back since.

David Paul BMW in Latchford, Warrington seem capable enough, but I've not used them for anything ///M specific (just for electrics, bushes, etc.).

There's also DM Performance cars outside Chester which has been used by a few M5Board members.

I used to use http://www.bmtec.co.uk/ in Manchester for my old E36 M3 then a Z3MC. I couldn't fault them but it was a few years ago. Usually 1/2 or 1/3 of the cost at a stealers. They're usually very busy, but there must be a reason for that.

Thanks for all the information - much appreciated.

I have tried DP of Warrington. I had a bit of a poor experience with a clutch and flywheel replacement in the 318 and sort of put me off going there again.
