Hi,

can anyone point me in the direction of a supplier of decent replacements for the wood trim on the center console and door handles.

I've seen some shonky looking stuff on Ebay but trying to find something quality. The old one in my car has a few cracks and scratches and could do with a spruce up.

i've seen a nice carbon fibre one on http://www.ca-automotive.co.uk but its a bit pricey i think.

any help appreciated - cheers guys

I'm sure back in 1996 when the car was made it was the height of style, but now, it just looks a little tired and dated.

not sure i can stretch justify £295 biglaugh for a carbon fibre one though!!

I did see an E36 Alpina with black wood effect trim, dunno what it's called but it looked nice, well when I say nice, I really mean bearable....I bloody hate the wood too

They're not shy with their prices are they yikes

Some super sexy carbon goodies on there though. Praying for a Euro millions win smile

I think I might just be able to convince the GF to buy me the SMG paddles for Xmas with a bit of luck!

I've got a spare wood trim piece that sits above the glovebox in good condition, happy to sell. It came off my e36 M3 so should be exactly what is needed. I also have the wooden handbrake cover (cracked to be honest) but nothing else. Let me know if you're interested, I'm not looking for a fortune.

Anybody tried rubbing the whole lot down and spraying it piano gloss black, Audi stylee? Or is there a spray paint that gives that stippled plastic finish?
