E36 M3 - Did I get a good deal?
Discussion
Yesterday, had nothing better to do, and so I bought a stunning E36 M3 with full MOT.
Brought it home, drove fine. Hood works perfectly, leather seats in top condition, not a mark on the bodywork. Got 18" alloys, all the usual extras.
I know nothing about these cars, did I do alright?

Wish my "nothing better to do" option was spend £3k on a car
As Stevie say, pics would be good for us to judge condition, but sounds like a good deal to me. What history does the car have?
I usually spend up to 10k a week on cars, I get bored of them very quickly, bought 2 BMW mini's last week.

Unfortunately, no history. I am going to contact the previous owner just to see if they have any paperwork, you never know.

Quick update:
Since I bought the car I have repaired the exhaust and fitted new spark plugs. So, just had a thought, might be best to reset the ECU by disconnecting the battery since it is probably used to crappy plugs and blown exhaust.
Hey Presto! It worked!
Disconnected battery for 10 minutes, reconnected it, started the car and it sounds sweet! Took it around the block and it drives better than ever!
All sorted.

I replaced the spark plugs and it ran much better, then I fixed the exhaust, locked up and went to bed. Started it up today and it ran like a bag of N&B's and so I put it down to just the plugs, but now I am sure it was a combination of plugs and exhaust, so I reset the ECU.
Any how, all working fine now, just need to sort out the rocker gasket.

seemed like plenty to me at £2600.Bidding started @£1500,thought it should make £2k at most. Was amazed at £2650 for a car with no history, nasty wheels, tired looking old thing etc.Just my opinion!
Not a tired old looking thing now, looks lovely. Just a little TLC and it is a fine motor
