Running in service

Just had the running service on my M3, a bit shocked that it was £335. I did ask if it was a 'fixed price menu' and told me it wasn't which was surprised me.
The 2 year 'minor service' on my 997 was only just over £100 more and my wifes Cooper S has 5 years and 50,000 miles of servicing for less.
To add insult to injury, the car wasn't even washed - the first time in probably 10 years I have had a car back from a service without it being cleaned - and that included my sons boggo standard 3 year old Renault Clio.
