E46 M3 MPG

New M3 owner and currently getting 19 mpg ish round town and just wondering if this is about normal?

Was getting the same out of my previous Focus ST but seem to remember getting better out of my E36 M3

If I remember rightly I used to get 17-19 in normal use with a lot of city centre use and early 20s on a run.

So sounds about right to me.

I live in London and only use it around town and on motorway runs.

Average is around 23mpg. Pure town use your about spot on. Also the car is very inefficient before warmed up.

yes that makes sense as i dont really get a chance to warm it up before leaving for work in the mornings

Average around 23mpg here as well with a mixture of London and motorways. Purely motorways, can get up to about 28mpg or perhaps more if you try hypermiling...

mine was about 23mpg around town. Used on long motorway runs I was always getting between 28 and 30mpg at motorway speeds

How the hell u manage 19 mpg around town?
I'm lucky to get 17 lol! and usually get around 15-16 mpg on city runs.

I seem to be about 25mpg for my avg usage which I find odd, I live 1 mile from work and my car spends half it's life on the track. I guess every other time I drive will be on motorways and with no traffic.

I get 20mpg around town in my Z4mc (same engine). On a long run its 28. Keep it at 60 and its even higher.
