So, i'm looking for the best prices for a couple of tyres on line. But I want them fitting locally. Quickfit & National Tyres web sites both list the wrong front tyre size for the Z4M So I try & look up the right Tyre size 225/45/18 & they have every tyre size except what I want (Michelin PS2)!!!!!!!! Typical because quickfits prices looked far better than Black Circles I normally use. Why can't these large companys get it right!

Where are you? I use Jim Jeffreys in Warrington, rarely beaten on price and take great care of your wheels. Worth any extra ££ IMO.

They broke the surface right around the rims on both of the wheels they re-tyred for me, and gouged the face of one them. They were 18mths old and absolutely unmarked.

A very gobby fitter tried to get all pushy and said they were like that when I went in. I could have cried.

I notice that they've taken the tag line "we won't damage your alloys" off their website now.

On a more positive note, Costco Chester/Deeside did the last pair and did a perfect job. They're usually very good for Michelin anyway but they have a 20% off offer just started that runs for 4 weeks. It might be limited to certain ranges and you do have to buy 4 tyres to get the discount (but it can be any 4 tyres and you can take them away and have them fitted later.

I can highly recommend Leigh who owns and runs http://www.tyres2younorthwest.com/

Comes out to you and does the job on your drive, as long as you are in an area of the North West he covers.
Did 2 new rears on my Z4M a month ago and decent price (Contisport M3) but most of all takes care of your alloys.
He also did a full set of white alloys for my previous car and didnt put a single mark on them (white shows everything) plus he does high end brands like Bentley, Lambo etc as part of his client base.
He also started life as a BMW tyre fitter and is one of the most clued up people in the UK on tyres for BMW's, he was a point of contact for advice in the national BMW owners club.

So highly recommended from me.

Thanks for that guys. I'm in the Crewe/Stoke area. By chance I just came across this place http://www.mytyres.co.uk & they do them fitted for £365 for two. £100 cheaper than Black Circles who I used to use.

That's £20 cheaper even than Costco (£195ea). Although, as mentioned earlier, you could get 20% off that if you could find another 2 tyres to buy.

I'm amazed, they always check my wheels prior to removing them and go to great lengths to point out any existing marks before they start. You're invited to check them over before leaving too. I've even tipped the fitters in the past because it makes such a pleasant change.

Shame you got them on a bad day.

Why not try changing to Vredestein Ultrac Sessantas. For me they're as good as PS2s and considerably cheaper. Plus the looks the bks as well. Do a surf for some reviews then call camskill for great prices. You'll save a bundle.
