I phoned BMW about 4 months ago for a purchase price on the Z4M that I have with them on contract hire.

Its got 18500 miles on it and is a pretty basic spec. They quoted me 17500 to buy it then ( March).

Phoend again this morning and was told that prices were going up in the trade and as a result the price was now........

...wait for it......

....£20,900 !!

three and a half grand more in 3 months! Needless to say its going back, but a good sign for you M "owners" out there.

You'll get offered more than that at webuyanycar.com

White's a hot colour for the M as well thanks in part to sixspeed. I reckon you'd get nearer £24K trade and it would retail at £30 at a main dealer.

Thats great news !
Pity anyone who recently had to sell their car back to BMW because of whatever reason.

Spec dependant of course.

Well has got most things on it, but i will not be selling it as i can't find a car to replace it. Test drove a Cayman S and can't see why i would want to pay 18k more for Car that's a year older than mine. Also test drove an 08 XKR which was much better but i was disappointed with the paintwork looks like who ever owned it treated it like crap i know stone chips happen but the car had scuffs everywhere

Sold my 08 Z4M for good money last week, and a good bit more than I was offered earlier on in the year.

The introduction of the lardy replacement Z4, and the announcement that there won't be an M version, or a proper coupe, will have done no harm at all to the residuals of the Z4M and MC

I hope so, because I got mine for a very good price. Does this only apply to Z4Ms?

I think the E92 M3s asking prices have definitely gone up and stabilised since the beginning of the year.

+2. I'm looking to swap the Z4MC for an E92 M3, as both have gone up recently it makes no difference. Anyone want to swap their E92?

The colour is almost enough, white really makes a price difference on the Zed.

Don't do it Shunt! When the next depreciation rung hits the E92 you'll lose your shirt! You only have to look at the comparative values of the e46 M3 (except the CSL) and z3mc to see that you're in a better investment already. If you can call losing money an investment - Fred Goodwin managed to call it that!
