Parts required

You'd be best contacting your local dealer, or finding one that will post parts, as BMW didn't have an OEM spring as such, they had a section of the parts catalogue where you select what options are fitted, and it'll tell you what spring depending on the weight of the car.
If you find someone selling a one size fits all spring, there is every chance it'll sit higher or lower than you expected.

^^^ If I were you, unless you can identify your new front springs, and this in itself begs the question as to why you do not go to the place that supplied said new front springs and get rears to match?, I would not mix front to rear
There will more than likely be no problem but but things like springs really should be fitted as a matched set ( unless we are talking track and then you can tune the suspension with different lengths/rates but that does not concern us here ) If you have recently bought the car and have been told by the vendor that it has new front springs then I would be inclined to put a full set of Eibach springs on then if nothing else at least you know where you stand

The chap who fitted the front will be fitting the rears, I could leave him to supply. I think he gets his parts from ECP or the like. Tempted with a full set of Eibachs though, I feel the car is tad wallowy at standard and I guess these would shure it up a little. Then again with standard bushes etc is there any point?

Yes, replacing the springs with tuned items will be one of the biggest and most noticeable changes that you can make in this department unless your bushes are so badly worn that they have given you the impression that your rear springs need replacing
That said, OE bushes are not that dear and replacing anything that looks suspect is also a good call. The rear upper trailing arm bushes are something that could do with inspection and the trait of worn ones is that under hard acceleration the car wiggles the back end when changing gear. Have a look at drop links and ball joints too whilst you are at it. Don't know how long you have had the car or how long you intend to keep it but I always go over a car when I get it and spend whatever I need to get it in the best shape it can be, makes ownership so much more pleasurable

It has had a fair amount of suspension refreshment done within the last 5k miles before I got the car, rear top mounts, front wishbone bush and springs, so it does feel quite tight but I do get an annoying squeaky noise from the rear end. Even on a completely flat road it squeaks as the car pitches fore and aft under acc/breaking and it's terrible on poor road surfaces (95% of Edinburgh). I thought it might be the new top mounts bedding in at first, in fact it sounds like they have been replaced a squeaky rubber toy! Any idea what this is?
A full set of Eibachs it is then!
