Supersprint e92 M3
Discussion
Hi,
I have an Eisemann Race exhaust installed in on my e92 M3, but am thinking about installing the Supersprint X-pipe. There are two versions, silenced and unsilenced.

Does anyone know (other that the slight power enhancement) how this will effect the sound?
Any idea if it (unsilenced) increases the volume from stock or just the character of the sound?
Is the unslienced too loud for daily use?

Have you thought about the KKS exhaust? It has a quiet mode and a loud mode that's very rude

I have no idea what they will sound like but do you know the dB reading of you car with your current exhaust?
I'm thinking of changing mine at some point but I still want to be able to do trackdays.
Cheers,
Pete
The Eisenman site claims its c 100db.I'm thinking of changing mine at some point but I still want to be able to do trackdays.

I just did a track day at Rockingham and the exhaust passed fine.
It is noisy for c 2 mins when the engine is cold, but the at idle sould like stock. 2-3000rpm there is a low bass, but above that i have not hear a better sounding car (other that f40s etc). It also quietens c20% after about 100miles once the inside is coated in carbon.
Followed a LP-560 Gallardo down an tunnel recently and the M3 sounded better!
It sounds like the Bullit Mustang, turns tha car into a bulldog.
None of the other exhausts come close.

I'm also considering the X pipe from Supersprint, Hamman seems to have the exclusivity for this item...I'd go for the un-silenced in any case, only doubt would be if the electronics would be disturbed or should be re-tuned.

Thanks. It does sound very tempting. Something to muse onfor the next couple of months while a make a decision.I just did a track day at Rockingham and the exhaust passed fine.
