Oil Service with extras

Just Had an oil service and change of filter done at the stealers as the computer told me so. Because it was the third oil service I needed to have the intake silencer and SMG/final drive unit oil done, both combined with engine oil even though OBC said no.
They also told me that the discs will need doing on front and rear when they come up for changing. Rears in 2500 miles and fronts in 8000 miles. Why do they check the discs when it's in for an oil change?
One more thing, I have noticed the oil level is showing 1.4L. This seems quite high to me. Should I contact them tomorrow?

The info from my BMW Indy is the following.
If you book your car in for a simple 'oil service' the car will not see the ramps. The engine oil is sucked out via the dipstick tube, filter changed and then refilled with oil. This is of course done with half a dozen cars at the same time and by the 17 year old apprentice. This I personally find outrageous as Im paying 100 p/h+ for the privaledge of some spotty teenager to sit and have a play in my car.
there is the option to have an oil service + inspection which means they look over your car and give you a list of near future work.
There are 2 issues I can see with you car are,
1) It has no dipstick and has to have oil drained while on a ramp.
2) They were doing additional work so included an 'inspection' of their own volition.
I would see what exactly you have been charged for. I would an inspection would be an additional £50 or so.
