Can anyone recommend me a head unit for E39 M5

I have the standard unit, ie not SatNav and would like to replace it with a full screen that replaces the hidden tape deck and the visible control pannel but cant seem to find one with a surround that fits.
Retro fit standard items are big money for spec.

I've never seen a non-OEM install in an E39 (or any recent BMW for that matter) that looks right unfortunately...

There are not many options really.

You can maybe use a screen up front with a brain in the boot...

I like the Pioneer F series as you can set the buttons to match the BMW Amber perfectly....



You will also need the mounting kit.....



I'm not sure if you have to cut some of the climate pipework on the E39 like you do on the E46 to get them to fit, looking at that kit I would say you do, not hard but will add a little install time.

Any decent In Car Audio specialist can recommend a suitable replacement screen etc, it is the fitting and functionality which may cause problems.
