Z4M coupe or indeed any other BMW with that engine. What fuel economy would you get at 60mph on the motorway and in general driving. I know it's a stupid question so please don't ask me to explain. Cheers.

In my old Z4MR I used to get 20-22mpg around town, and 28-30 driving gently on the motorway. Surprisingly the consumption around town never got down to 15mpg, which was the manufacturer's urban quote.

Bang on cruise at 80-90 and it will be 30mpg. Never any more.

Over the last 18000 miles, my M3's averaged 29mpg. Mostly motorway during the week and town at weekends etc. Not really a realistic combined figure, but indicative of what is easily achieveable. My 330i managed 30mpg average for the same type of driving, and I know which one I prefer! wink

I know it sounds stupid, but is useful for a comparison. MPG at 60mph on the motorway?

Indicated 36 MPG at 60MPH on motorway.

Surprisingly frugal.

yep agree with that i've even seen 39MPG on a 60mph reset, very sad i know!

my real world is 26-27, some m'way (80-95 leptons) and traffic into work, pretty good i think!

i went on a total hoon weekend with the lads (3 CSLs,1 E36 M3 EVO and R32 and an Elise)to wales and back (seriously fast driving and lots of overtaking as you can imagine;)) averaged about 17-18mpg smile

makes me wonder why i'm thinking about selling acutally
