I have a 1997 M3evo which has clutch problems. You have to really push the peddle into the floor to select 1st and reverse, even then it crunches. I've had a new clutch kit fitted along with a new braided clutch hose and i still have the problem. once the car moving the clutch seems ok. Anyone with these problems seems to cure it with a braided clutch hose but this hasnt worked for me. Any ideas as to what could cause this would be welcome. thanks ben.

Has it been bled properly, and have you changed the gearbox oil?

Is the floor mat fitted properly? It can ruck up under the pedal, so you don't get full travel - mine's always bitten low, "they all do that, sir..." rolleyes

it needs bleeding with a pressure bleed kit rather than the pedal pumping technique.
